Nihira is a writer and creative storyteller who spent six years building stories for those engaged in radical work. This year, her love for language and experiences with loss have pulled her away from stable employment and towards devoting herself full-time to writing. In 2022, International Booker Prize winner Geetanjali Shree awarded her the Rama Mehta Trust’s 2022 English Fiction Writing Grant. A year earlier, she started Freelance Writers India which attempts to level the playing field for marginalised freelance writers in the country.
